The high performance F515S has the same high specification as the F515 with the added benefit of an integral water softener, perfect for hard water areas, preventing harmful lime scale build up. This unit is a great option for high throughput kitchens where performance is a must whilst keeping running costs to a minimum.
Integral Water Softener
The F15S comes with an in-built water softener which makes it ideal for sites in hard water areas. The water softener will convert the minerals in your water, reducing the effects of limescale on your machine and, as a result, increase its service life.

A large part of the UK has hard water (limescale). For areas with hard water, it’s strongly recommended you have a water softener. Not only does it improve your wash results but more importantly protects your dishwasher from the buildup of limescale which overtime will negatively impact the unit’s performance and eventually result in breakdowns. Keep in mind that damage caused by limescale will not be covered under the Hobart warranty.
The F515S has a fully automated inbuilt water softener which makes the operation of the dishwasher very easy and reduces the footprint required in your kitchen as there is no need for an external water softener.
What rack size does the Ecomax Plus F515S use?
It accommodates the industry standard 500x500mm wash racks.
Why would I choose the Hobart F515S dishwasher over the Ecomax F504S?
Whilst both Hobart dishwashers offer similar performance on paper, the Ecomax Plus has a range of additional features to improve its performance for sites with a heavier workload. It also encompasses a range of features that reduce your running costs.
Uprated wash and rinse components to improve wash performance
Smaller wash tank. Less electricity required to heat the wash water and less detergent for dosing the smaller water volume
Double racking option. Greater capacity per cycle. Reduced number of cycles required, increasing throughput and improving efficiency.
Counter balanced door
Due to the efficiency features, if you only have a 13amp electrical supply available, the F515S could be a good choice. Compared to the F504S The reduced heat loss and smaller wash tank won’t require as much heating. Whilst it won’t negate the reduction in power completely, it will certainly help in comparison.
