A new study by TrustYou has revealed that customer’s priorities when booking a hotel vary widely depending on their reason for travelling.
Family travellers look for hotels rated highly for comfort and good rooms, whilst business travellers look for Wifi, cleanliness and comfort. Surprisingly guests travelling with friends rated food as the most important thing to consider when booking a hotel with 28% of respondents saying they would book a room based just on positive feedback for the meals.
The findings should help hotels adapt their marketing and services to suit the target demographic they are trying to attract.
